Take over by Kuehne + Nagel
Dear Madam / Sir,
As you have probably read in the media or in previous correspondence, our company is in the process of being taken over by Kuehne + Nagel (KN). We trust that we will reach a firm agreement shortly. The agreement is awaiting approval by the NMA, and we expect to receive a positive recommendation in the next few weeks.
The reason for this step is that, while we are and have always been in a good, strong, independent position to expand, we should not ignore the far reaching changes happening worldwide. As a forwarding agent, it is crucial that we have access to a worldwide network. Our strategy over the last few years has been focused on just that. KN's interest in our company gives us immediate access to an extensive international network. We believe that an association with KN will allow us to run the company more efficiently, as well as bring added value to our clients.
During our dealings with KN, we quickly formed a positive impression of how we can complement each other. We have expertise in the area of import handling, while KN's expertise lies in export. We have access to excellent facilities at Schiphol Airport and KN has a worldwide network.
Nothing will change for you in the near future. We will continue operating under the name J. van de Put Fresh Cargo Handling BV and your contact person will remain the same. The management of both companies will continue their activities and will retain their responsibilities in the company. It goes without saying that the service that you are accustomed to will continue unchanged. Telephone, email, address, bank details and so on remain unchanged.
For your information, Kuehne + Nagel is one of the leaders in the field of logistics. It has 900 offices in more than 100 countries, and has a strong market position in the area of sea and air freight, as well as contract logistics and trucking.
Should you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to answer any questions.
Yours sincerely,
Moniek van de Put
Director
